Hello, my name is Anja Meier, I'm a German teddy bear artist.
I live in the region Erzgebirge (Ore Mountains), where the traditions
of old handcraft is still alive and influences my work.
When I was a little girl I found a yellow teddy bear and saved his life. Later he inspired me to create my own teddy bears, rabbits and other lovely animals in vintage style.
It started as a hobby in 1992 and 8 years later I founded my label Anna Dazumal®. This name describes the romantic character of the good old days I appreciate. It’s fascinating to get a lovely fellow by taking a piece of mohair, glass eyes and some more high quality materials. My work includes old style bears, as well as cats, rabbits and other lovely animals. There are different families, in which Anna´s bears and friends live. |
