When you order from Bears Against MS,
we need your name,
email address, shipping address
and sometimes your telephone number.
We use this information to process and ship your order
and send you a confirmation by email.
We maintain both an electronic and a hard copy
of this informtation for tax purposes.
When you join the Bears Against MS Customer Rewards Program,
we ask for your name, email address, shipping address,
telephone number, birthday and anniversary dates
and your bear and other interests.
We maintain this information in both a hard copy form
and
on a computer database
so that we can
provide you with the benefits of the program,
including sending you
information on future special offers
and promotions
that we think would interest you.
By joining our Customer Rewards Pprogram,
you are automatically added
to the Bears Against MS E-Newsletter mailing list.
You can also independently join our mailing list
by providing some of the same but more limited information
on the E-Newsletter sign-up form.
In that situation, the information you provide is only maintained
on an electronic database, not in hard copy form.
All communications sent to those on our mailing list database
(i.e. general emails, not those sent to only one individual)
provide an Opt-Out option (usually at the bottom of the email).
You can also ask to be removed from our mailing list
at any time by sending an email to Valerie Sewell at
valerie@bearsagainstms.com.
However, if you are a Customer Rewards member,
removing your name from our mailing list
will mean that you will no longer receive
all of the benefits of membership.
The computers where your information is stored
are protected by a firewall and anti-virus software.
The hard copy of your information is generally accessable
only by the two co-owners of Bears Against MS.
We hold the information you provide in the strictest confidence.
We will not sell, rent or give your personal information
to any other person or organization without your consent,
except as provided in the Exclusions section below.
