Red Riding Hood
is a 13" 100% mohair bear
in
pale creamy gold tones.
She has a light golden brown
hand-embroidered nose,
white felt under her bright black eyes,
a shaved muzzle with airbrushing
and pale gold fore-paw pads with light brown stitching.
She is 5-way jointed
but her rear paws are flat so that she can stand on her own.
Red Riding Hood wears a white cotton pinafore dress
with navy detailing and a navy satin petticoat
as well as a ruby red, fully lined, satin hooded cape
with two toggle and loop fastenings.
Red Riding Hood is carrying her wicker picnic basket
with two "sandwiches" and a red and white gingham check napkin.
Masquerade
is a 16" mohair and alpaca wolf.
He is created from six different types of fabric
in shades of forest brown and golden ginger.
He has a brown hand-embroidered nose,
white felt under his bright black glass eyes,
a shaved muzzle with air-brushing, fangs
and brown suedette sculted fore-paw pads with brown stitching.
His large rear paws enable him to stand on his own,
helped by his big bushy tail for extra balance.
Masquerade wears a lacy ruff collar,
a pair of spectacles with a rabbit head accent
and a bootlace necklace with a fork pendant.
A Note from Charlie:
Red Riding Hood is wearing her Sunday best
in her beautifully handmade pinafore dress, apron and petticoat.
To finish her outfit she has her ruby red fully line cape
with toggle and loop fastening detail,
so she is ready to visit Grandma.
She is carrying a picnic basket for Grandma
filled with her favourite things
along with a gingham check napkin.
She has been designed as a standing bear
and is made from a creamy soft gently wavy mohair.
Bright black glass eyes finish the bright eyed "who me?" look
that she will most definitely need if she come across Masquerade
on her way through the forest.
Masquerade is trying to pretend to be something he isn't.
Wearing Grandma's ruff and spectacles,
he arrives with a bootlace necklace and fork pendant
which really gives the game away.
His large paws enable him to stand on his own
which is helped by his big bushy tail for extra balance.
He has sculpted paw pads
and extra face sculpting to give him the friendly look
that he so longs to have.
Do not be fooled tho Red Riding Hood -
he is as soft as they come.
